The Port of Los Angeles runs the World Cruise Center in San Pedro, two berths on 22 acres just off the Harbor Freeway, where Norwegian, Princess, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity sail to the Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, the California coast and the Panama Canal, with peak season running late September to mid May. Carnival's Southern California ships sail from its own Long Beach Cruise Terminal about ten miles east, so shoppers comparing the whole region see both here. LAX is 18 miles away, downtown 25.
