Getting to New York's cruise terminals and What to Expect

New York City runs two cruise terminals through NYCEDC: the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on the Hudson River at West 48th to 52nd Streets (Piers 88, 90 and 92, about one million passengers a year) and the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook, opened in 2006 and the first cruise terminal on the East Coast with shore power. Norwegian, Oceania, Regent Seven Seas and the Carnival Corporation brands sail from Manhattan, Cunard and Princess from Brooklyn, on Bermuda, Bahamas, Caribbean, Canada and New England and transatlantic itineraries, every one of them departing past the Statue of Liberty.

  • Manhattan Cruise Terminal711 12th Avenue at West 48th to 52nd Streets. Drive in on 12th Avenue (the West Side Highway); the parking entrance is at 55th Street and 12th Avenue.
  • Brooklyn Cruise Terminal210 Clinton Wharf in Red Hook. From Manhattan, take the Battery Tunnel into Brooklyn, continue onto the westbound Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and take Exit 26, Hamilton Avenue, onto the service road. NYC Ferry links Red Hook with Wall Street's Pier 11.
