Getting to the Port of Vancouver and What to Expect

Vancouver is the classic start of an Alaska cruise. Ships sail from the Canada Place cruise terminal on the downtown waterfront, three berths under the white sails that can host up to four ships at once, straight into the Inside Passage toward Ketchikan, Juneau, Glacier Bay and Seward. The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority welcomed more than 300 ship calls and over one million passengers in 2025, from Princess, Holland America, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Disney and a long list of luxury lines. Vancouver International Airport is about 30 minutes away, and the Canada Line SkyTrain stops at Waterfront Station right next to the pier.
