About Carnival Jubilee
Carnival Jubilee is the third ship of Carnival's Excel Class, after Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration, and the largest ship ever based in Texas. She entered service from the Port of Galveston on December 23, 2023 and sails year round from there on 4 to 8-night Western Caribbean cruises to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Progreso and Roatan. At 183,521 gross tons across 19 decks she carries 5,228 guests at double occupancy (up to 6,631) with a crew of about 1,745, and she is organized into six themed zones, two of them new for Jubilee: the underwater-themed Currents and the seaside-boardwalk Shores. On top is BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea.
Carnival Jubilee Deck Plans and Zones
Carnival Jubilee has 19 decks, and Carnival organizes the public spaces as six themed zones rather than numbered areas, so the fastest way to understand the ship is zone by zone. Carnival publishes the official deck-by-deck plans with every stateroom number, venue and elevator bank; use those to pick an exact cabin, and use this guide to decide which part of the ship you want to be near.

Carnival Jubilee at a glance
Cabin tip: for the quietest sleep, pick a stateroom with other staterooms directly above and below it, and avoid cabins right under the Lido pool deck or right above the atrium or a lounge. Excel Class ships also offer Havana cabins with their own pool area, and Family Harbor cabins near a family lounge. A Cruise Manager at 1-877-733-0777 can check specific cabin numbers against today's availability.
Carnival Jubilee vs Carnival Celebration
Carnival Jubilee and Carnival Celebration are Excel Class sister ships with the same size, the same BOLT roller coaster and the same core dining line-up. The differences are the two zones unique to each ship and, above all, the port.
Pick Jubilee if you can drive to Galveston or want the Texas departure; she is the biggest and newest ship in the Gulf. Pick Celebration if you are flying into Miami. The onboard experience is nearly identical, so let the port and today's fare decide.
Sailing from Galveston
Carnival Jubilee sails year round from the Port of Galveston, about an hour south of Houston and within a day's drive of Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Oklahoma City and New Orleans, which is why so many of her guests never see an airport. Fly into Houston Hobby or Bush Intercontinental if you do; shuttles run to the port, and the terminal has long-term parking lots within walking distance or a short shuttle ride.

It moves with the season, the length and how far ahead you book, which is exactly why this page shows live pricing. Interior cabins carry the lowest fares, ocean view and balcony sit in the middle, and suites top the range. The rates and the full table above show today’s real fares for every sailing, per person with taxes and fees included, and CruiseHub adds zero booking fees on top.
5,228 guests at double occupancy and up to 6,631 at full capacity, with a crew of about 1,745. At 183,521 gross tons across 19 decks she is the largest cruise ship ever based in Texas.
Carnival publishes the official deck-by-deck plans, linked in the deck plans section above. The ship has 19 decks and six themed zones: Grand Central, Currents, The Shores, Summer Landing, Lido and The Ultimate Playground. Our guide above explains what each one holds.
BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster is the first roller coaster at sea, an all-electric two-rider car that laps the top deck at up to 40 mph with open-air views over the Gulf. It is an extra-charge ride booked on board, and it sells out on sea days, so reserve early in the cruise.
They are Excel Class sister ships with the same size, BOLT and core restaurants. Jubilee sails from Galveston and has the Currents and Shores zones; Celebration sails from Miami and has 820 Biscayne and The Gateway. The comparison table above has the details.
Yes. The WaterWorks slides, SportSquare, the ropes course, Camp Ocean kids clubs by age, Family Harbor staterooms with their own lounge, and short 4 and 5-night options make her an easy first cruise for children, while the Serenity adults-only retreat and Havana area give adults their own space.
Main dining, the Lido buffet, Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, pools, the WaterWorks slides, the shows and most onboard activities are included, and the prices shown here are per person with taxes and fees included. Extras set by the cruise line, like gratuities, alcohol, BOLT and specialty dining, come later, the same as booking direct.
